Az utóbbi hónapokban egyre több olyan videó és poszt jelent meg a TikTok-on, illetve az Instagramon, amelyet a #moodydecor hashtaggel láttak el. Ez egy olyan lakberendezési és dekorációs stílus hangzatos és kissé mókás elnevezése, amely sötét, mély színekkel, látványos kiegészítőkkel, mintákkal, barokkos stílusjegyekkel, bútorokkal „dolgozik”. Az összhatás mindig nagyon drámai, komor, mégis intenzív és emlékezetes. A „moody” szó magyarul nagyjából azt jelenti kedvetlen, unott, fásult, tehát a trend neve magyarul körülbelül az lehetne, unott dekor. Holott ez minden, csak nem unalmas!
A Moody Decor trend most ősszel ért a csúcsra, amit talán annak is köszönhet, hogy az 1988-as Beetlejuice című Tim Burton-film, aminek hangulata éppen ilyen különleges, elvarázsolt és komor, idén kapott második részt. A Beetlejuice Beetlejuice szeptember 6-án került a mozikba, benne olyan sztárokkal, mint Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder, Catherine O’Hara, Jenna Ortega (aki Wednesday Addams-ként már bizonyította, hogy bírja ezt a stílust), Justin Theroux, Willem Dafoe, valamint Monica Bellucci.
